Microsurgery

Not all procedures in periodontics can be done endoscopically. However, the operating microscope allows us the opportunity to see with magnifications second only to the Perioscope. Enjoy this selection of procedures that highlight this wonderful enhancement to periodontal surgery.

Immediate Implants and Provisionals. In select instances we can remove teeth, place implants with provisional teeth all in one appointment.

Root Coverage with Lateral Sliding Flap. When possible, roots can be covered with tissue from a site right next to the problem area.

Root Coverage with AlloDerm. Recession can be treated with various grafting options, one of which is with the use of an acellular dermal graft.

Transition to Implant, Failing Root Canal. There are times when the transition from a failing tooth to an implant supported restoration takes several steps but still can be accomplished within 7-8 months

Root Coverage Grafting, Recession and Pocketing Secondary to a Tongue Piercing. The effects of a tongue piercing are noted and corrected here.

Radicular Lesion Removal. Secondary to trauma, teeth or the surrounding hard and/or soft tissue can be compromised and require repair.

Immediate Implant and Immediate Provisional. Another example of an immediate implant with same day provisional tooth fabrication.
